Dear SGBians,
I am excited to announce the upcoming English Week at our school, where we will be hosting a fun and engaging activity called the "Learn A Word A Week.” This program will happen every Tuesday 5 minutes on the first period in the morning. This event is designed to promote vocabulary building and language skills among our pupils in a creative and interactive way.
Each week will be dedicated to a different word chosen by our English department. Teachers across all subjects are encouraged to incorporate the daily word into their lesson/ activity. Students will also be encouraged to use the word in their conversations, written assignments, and presentations to reinforce its meaning and usage.
The aim of the Learn A Word A Day is to create a language-rich environment within our school and inspire students to expand their vocabulary in a fun and meaningful way. We believe that this initiative will not only enhance their language skills but also foster a love for learning and creative expression.
We encourage everyone to actively participate in English Week and make it a memorable and enriching experience for our students. Let's come together to celebrate the beauty of the English language and empower our students to become confident and effective communicators.
